OK the first thing to do is clean out the bilge and see how bad it is...we have never replaced keel bolts before so all this work is new to me and the 3 guys helping never worked on a boat! so let the fun begin...


We pulled up the mast step and the bolt was gone... now i know the keel bolts are bad!


the next was to take out the first keel bolt 1/2" dia about 9"lg, as i hit he nut with a grinder it pop off and this is what was left of the keel bolt!

now we cut the floors around the bolts so we can pound with a 8lb hammer to get the keel to part from the keel wood...


one of my guys cut to much of the floor, about 1" on each side of the bolt is all you need...
